In this creation, perfumer Nuria Cruelles presents a different way of crafting oud, a widely known high-perfumery ingredient native to Southeast Asia. This precious resin is the result of a defensive response from the rare Aquilara tree, a natural process that takes approximately 36 years. Its exceptional uniqueness is reflected in its complex and rich scent profile, characterized by an opulent blend of woody, smoky, spicy, and profoundly earthy notes. The mystical deepness of oud is harmonized by sandalwood, which adds a creamy, smooth, and enveloping woody character. This richness is unexpectedly lifted by a contrasting bittersweet orange note, bringing a refreshing, juicy, and bright nuance to the aroma. The full composition is rounded out with neroli essential oil, elemi oil, osmanthus absolute, cypriol heart, myrrh resinoid, and vetiver notes.
