Looking for a way to paddle around at your own pace? Rent a single kayak, a double kayak, or enough boats for a group and explore the La Jolla Ecological Reserve on your own! Guests may see a variety of marine life while kayaking around the ecological reserve. You might see different kinds of fish, birds, seals, sea lions, dolphins and even whales (depending on the time of year). You will also get to see the beautiful town of La Jolla from the water, and take in the amazing scenery! Please note that we give a safety briefing to each renter, but we do not provide kayaking lessons for rentals. If you're new to kayaking and would like to learn how, we recommend that you check out our guided tours first. Kayak Rentals are NOT permitted into the Sea Caves. All guests must be able to swim comfortably in order to take a kayak out on their own. All participants must be five years or older in order to participate in the activity.
