After three standout seasons at the University of Michigan, Charles Woodson declared himself eligible for the 1998 NFL Draft; the Oakland Raiders selected him with the fourth overall pick. He played in all 16 games in his rookie campaign, finishing with 5 interceptions (one for a TD) and 64 total tackles. At the end of the season Woodson was named the Defensive Rookie of the Year and was selected to his first Pro Bowl team. 2023 marks the 25th anniversary of Woodson's stellar rookie season.
