A charming suitcase in a dark brown, ribbed faux leather, made of rigid cardboard with reinforced corners and metal latches, which most likely originates from the 1930s, 1940s when austerity was necessary
The exterior of the case is good, with a few surface scratches, but very presentable. All three catches are working and although the handle is a bit worn, remains strong and fit for purpose (see final photo)
The interior is lined with a two tone green fabric (also popular in the 1930s), which is a little marked, but generally clean
Fabulous as a storage item, either for underbed or on top of cupboards, but would give a vintage style to any room
As people use 'height' and 'depth' to sometimes mean the same thing, I have been specific as to where this measurement relates to.
Measurements are (when suitcase laid flat as in main photo):
Height: 14cm (5.5in) (top to bottom)
Width 49cm (19in) (side to side)
Depth 27cm (10.5in) (front to back)
Weight: 1460g
Condition
There are a few impediments as described and shown, but is still in a very usable condition. This is dated to the 1930s-40s due to the style and materials, but there is no date mark on the piece itself
