In good vintage condition with age of wear the movement and music work perfectly but the music box only stops when the winding of the spring runs out.

In Switzerland there is a family that has been dealing with Carillon since 1865. In fact, in the small village of Sainte-Croix, Charles Reuge opened the first musical box clock shop. A pioneer of this art, Charles incorporates a musical cylinder into the movement of a watch. 30 years later, in 1886, his son Albert, following in his father's footsteps, converted the family workshop into a small factory to produce musical pieces. From 1930 Guido Reuge will lead the business for the next 60 years. Despite the crisis in the sector due to the introduction of the phonograph on the market and the recession of 1929, Reuge managed to survive and indeed grow more and more. The winning formula from 1960 to today is the manufacturing that characterizes musical creations, which differ and diversify from every competitor on the market. Reuge works tirelessly to produce ever richer sounds and to reproduce birdsong perfectly.
