The example shown and one of our favourite fabrics to work with is from British textile designer Ian Mankin, still weaving in a UK Lancashire Mill.At Ian Mankin, they are committed to using only natural and recycled yarns within their fabrics. This is in part to reduce chemical processes in their products and the lovely inherent beauty of these yarns, which require little human intervention. Imparting their knowledge and skills in weaving to bring out the best in these yarns, and that’s all that’s needed to create a truly authentic, natural product. Because of this, you may see some variation in the structure and colour of fibres, creating a natural slub or texture in your item. These are all perfectly normal and give the product an authenticity that can’t be replicated with synthetic fibres. Our go to is a beautiful soft quality blackout fabric to help with the curtains to hang beautifully, keep you warm, and block out evening light. Our flop-over curtains are pencil pleats gathered with a 2-inch heading tape.
