Here is a pair of hair stick scissors... which is to say a set of two hair sticks comprising one pair of scissors. If you will. I used an actual pair of scissors to make this pattern, downsizing about 25% then stretching the 'blades' out to end up with a nicely proportioned set of hair sticks.
These beautiful hair sticks were cut on a scroll saw from solid maple and hand sanded. I finished them off with a coat of Danish oil and paste wax so that the stick is very smooth to the touch and will insert with ease into the desired hair.
The total length of these hair toys are approx. 7" with the working portions being approx. 5", depending on just where you measure it. They are approx. 1 " wide across the top and approx. 9mm thick at the handle and 5mm thick on the 'blades'.

I try to keep my shop stocked with the following woods, and will not charge extra for their use: Oak, Maple, Cherry, Ash, Walnut and Mahogany. In addition, I have a limited supply of the following exotic hardwoods, or may be able to get them for an added fee: purpleheart, yellowheart, bocote, mora, padauk and leopardwood.
