We started using this checklist with our kids a few years ago and have been amazed at the results! When our kids start school in the fall, their teachers never fail to mention how our kids are able to "hit the ground running" and do not need to reset after coming back from summer. The other amazing part is that our kids began requesting to continue their time with God in the mornings even after school started. They had blown through their workbooks and devotionals over the summer so we gladly got them more resources for during the school year.
We believe when kids are given stability and a routine they thrive. I didn't want to feel stifled or make them feel that they felt they couldn't have fun; I wanted to find a balance between structure and fun. This checklist went a long way in helping us achieve that balance and I hope it helps you too!
