A Rare find. This original late 1940s silk
satin bridal gown is so beautiful with its gorgeous bow motif fabric. The condition is very good. There are some minor marks and small scuffs, as to be expected with a dress of this age. It has original side closure. The size is a UK 6-8 .
The gown features a centre panel onto which the bust and skirt are gathered thus creating volume and softness. it has a softly draped cowl, high neckline and button back neck closure. The long sleeves are slightly gathered at the head and fall to a point at the cuff. The dress is superbly cut to show off the dark ivory silk satin perfectly. The waist if finished with a tie belt.
The dress is completed with an almond shaped train which falls gracefully to a point.
As with most dresses of this age, it is unlined and the seams are raw edged on the inside. This is a great opportunity to own a stunning piece of bridalwear.
