DESCRIPTION:
The inlay for this ring is created with three double strands of copper woven into a flat weave. There is a single spot of cultured red opal inlayed as well. The copper weave is embedded in a protective layer of resin so no need to worry about the weave gathering dirt or being hard to clean. The stainless steel band has a slightly domed interior (comfort fit). Other opal colors and band materials are also possible. Contact me with inquiries.
I take care with all my rings to ensure they are highly polished when completed so they can shine as you wear them.
The stainless steel band will be quite durable and good for everyday wearing. The opal inlay will also be durable, but could be damaged by chemicals so I suggest removing the ring if you will be using harsh cleaners or the like.
Completed rings I have in stock will ship within two days of payment. Rings made to order will take 1-3 weeks to ship depending on whether I have the ring blank in stock. If I have the ring blank in stock I can usually turn the order around in about 2 days. I have included the most common ring sizes to choose from when you order, but additional sizes and widths are possible. Contact me for additional options.
Engraving - contact me before ordering
Engraving can be done on the inside of the ring as a custom order. 25-35 characters maximum depending on the ring size to be engraved. My ring core supplier does the engraving, so there is an additional $20 charge (for stainless steel) to cover ordering, engraving, and shipping the custom ring core to me. This usually only takes a few extra days.

Ring sales are not returnable if they don't fit, so be sure to confirm your size at a jeweler prior to ordering.
PROCESS:
Each inlay ring starts with a ring blank of the appropriate material, size, and width. The channel(s) is then filled with various materials including a bonding agent such as resin with pigments added and or with stones included. Three double strands of copper were braided into a flat strand for the inlay for this ring. This rough ring is then turned on the lathe using a carbide cutter to smooth the inlay down to the level of the ring surface. This is then wet sanded down to 12000 grit and taken through a series of polishing steps inside and out to bring out the final shine.
