I try to make designs as easy and minimal as possible because I do have my own cutting machine and have experience with cutting them and weeding etc. Some of my designs have very close details that require cuts to be close to each other, so be wary of that. It all depends on how big you cut the design, because the smaller you cut the design, the closer the cuts will be to each other and vice versa.
