These stocks are then sanded to 220 grit sanding, giving a very smooth touch. The finish is a semi-gloss black paint applied & wet sanded in the final stages with 1500 grit. Final coating is a semi-gloss clear coating to help protect the finish. Once all pieces have received a final finish, assembly is done, to make the final product.
As with natural wood & hand applied finishes, there are some tendencies for small knots or inperfections in the wood. While we avoid anything that would cause the stocks breaking, we work to use these to accentuate the beauty of the natural wood. We also strive to have a soft, smooth finish on the paint & clear coating.
