We love vintage goods and take pride in offering a wide selection of hard-to-find favorites. We choose quality vintage items and always try our best to accurately describe each item. Please take into account that our descriptions are subjective and based on our knowledge and experience – others’ opinions may vary.
While we are by no means experts, and none of the items we have available have been appraised, authenticated or certified (unless otherwise noted), we do research (historical and market) and learn as much as we can about each item before listing.
At times we choose to leave items in their original condition and note any issue(s) in our listings, so please, please, please read each, specific listing carefully and ask any questions before purchasing. We want you exactly what you’re getting and we want you to be happy with your purchase. Please keep in mind we sell Vintage clothing and home good items that are often in used condition and possibly with minor flaws including wear. For instance, there may be a snag, a missing button on an undone hem – we will always list all visible defects or area(s) of wear and provide as many photos as possible.
Buyers should appreciate that Vintage items are, for the most part, used items, unless otherwise noted, and will not be in new, pristine condition. If after reviewing the photos and reading the descriptions, you have any concerns, questions or reservation(s), at all, please ask before you buy. We are available and respond quickly to all questions.
We are also human and as our businesses grow, we sometimes make mistakes in our written listings, for example our listing information may not match the photos, while this has happened infrequently, it has happened, so please, please, please read each, specific listing carefully and ask any questions before purchasing. If you find such a discrepancy, we’re happy to hear from you so that we can make the correction(s) or clarifications before you purchase and we always appreciate the time taken out of your day to make us aware of these listings.
“We treat you, like you’d treat you”. Because we also buy vintage clothing and home goods ourselves, we value a seller’s honesty. In this spirit we write every description in earnest. If there is any flaw(s) whatsoever, we will describe it in our listing, you will provide as many photos as we can. Full Disclosure is the name of the game. Again, we want the items we sell to meet your expectations and while we cannot alter the condition, we can, and do, describe and photograph it. That is why we implore you to not only look at the photos but also to read each listing carefully.
We package all listed items as soon as they are photographed and listed so that they remain in the same condition as described and photographed.

We do not offer Gift Wrapping Services at this time.
We will accept cancellation of orders that occur before Shipping. We often ship the same day or next day, depending on when the order is placed.
Vintage items are sold “As Is”. As such our Policy is to not accept returns after the item(s) has shipped. This Policy is in keeping with Vintage and Antique Shopping markets, both on-line and in Brick-and-Mortar Shops around the Country. This Policy is not unique to our shop.

SHIPPING
We often ship the item(s) the same day. At the most 1-2 days after payment confirmation.
It is important that you ensure your address is correct when ordering. We ship to the address provided on the order and we are not responsible for packages sent to an incorrectly supplied address. Please be sure to include all necessary information including apartment number.
As of 9-14-2023 any items valued over $250 will be shipped with signature confirmation required.
We take pride in recycling packing materials and reusing boxes, whenever possible.
We do offer combined shipping on multiple purchases, when shipping to the same address and in the same box. Please feel free to contact us, before purchasing, for an estimate of costs. Just identify the items you are interested in and your mailing zip code.
We will always include tracking number(s) with all purchases.
ITEMS LOST or DAMAGED IN TRANSIT
Once we ship your purchase(s) it is, quite literally, out of our hands. As much as we’d like to, we cannot guarantee an item(s) won’t be lost or damaged during shipping. Some things are just out of our control. That is why we provide USPS and/or 3rd party insurance; because we recognize that accidents happen.
Please ensure that the address you provide is a safe location that the package can be left at. If the buyer has concerns about the delivery location being safe we are happy to add signature confirmation for an additional cost of $3.80 to be added to the invoice. Arrangements for signature confirmation must be made prior to purchasing, just message us and we will amend the price to include this service.
Claims of items lost or damaged in transit must be made immediately and will require the Buyer’s full cooperation to file a claim. This may initially include the Buyer providing us with clear photos of the 6 sides of the box, the label, the contents including all packing materials and multiple photos of the damaged item(s). It will also require the Buyer to retain all parts/pieces until the claim is settled. It may also require the buyer to fill out an Affidavit required of the insurer regarding the loss or damage. We will begin the claim process or initiate a loss package report as needed. We will update the buyer every step of the way during the claim process.
Please be aware that claims of damage may also require the buyer to bring and present the item to their local Post Office for inspection. For this reason, the item(s) and all packaging must be retained by the buyer, in “as-is”/received condition until the claim is settled.
Claims for lost items may require buyer to contact their local Post Office/ Post Master to resolve the issue.
Indigo Moon Vintage Co will keep the Buyer updated on the status of their Claim.
NO repairs should be attempted and Indigo Moon Vintage Co retains the right to request the item(s) be returned, in the same manner packaged, before any refund is provided. If we request the item’s return we will provide the buyer with a prepaid postage label, at our expense. Refunds are provided only after Claims are approved by Insurer.
The failure of a Buyer to cooperate fully with Indigo Moon Vintage Co’s requests for information and documentation and through the claim process, will make claim coverage impossible to successfully pursue and in these cases no refund can be provided.
We are proud to report that, to date, we have only had to file 8 claims for lost or damaged items between our two shops, which represents approximately .006% of our total sales since opening our shop.
We also know that “porch pirates” exists. If any item we ship is stolen after it has been delivered, as confirmed by tracking information, please be aware that these claims fall outside of ours and the Post Offices’ responsibilities and represent mail theft/property theft and should be reported to your local police department. Indigo Moon Vintage Co will not be able to provide a refund in these instances. These cases represent Property Crime and may be pursued by reporting the theft to your Police Department and may be covered by a Buyer’s Property insurer. Please confirm coverage and request information about the claims process with your insurance provider and your local Police Department.
