Very large Antique illustrated Family Bible containing The Old and New Testaments Brown leather cover with gold ornate Engraved decoration, beautifully illustrated with colour pictures throughout.
The spine is in fabulous condition it still feels very strong and intact with no loose pages. There is some slight cracking at the front top of the cover about 3 inches down and all along the back cover, so handle with care on opening.
A very handsome edition of the Holy Bible full of illustrations throughout, this is in large quarto size with crisply printed text which is clear and easy to read. The family section is blank, it has not been written in ready for you to add your family to be blessed by this book.
This is an extremely very good copy of a much loved volume – the spine is ridged and has Holy Bible in gold written on it over red leather, externally there are minor scuff marks grazes and wear to the covers especially the corners and the spine. Internally there are the foxing spots you’d expect throughout the book – the pages at the front have minor foxing and majority pages have none at all, the pages are a little discoloured from time. Please view all photos as they form a major part of the item description, I wish I could post more photos as there's so many pages that are just stunning for you to see.
The Bible measures approx. Size is approx 13" x 10.5" x 4” thick and weighs 5.2 kg. Considering its age and compared to other copies of this book, this one is in absolutely fabulous condition. There is some paperwork loose inside from a precious owner.
