The antique night lamp is considered 'used' and it is in 'excellent' condition. There are no chips, cracks, or scratches present. There is slight staining to one spot on the font. The staining is from age and use. It does not take away from the lamps physical appearance. Please refer to pictures above- prior to purchase.
The Queen Heart Oil Lamp came in five sizes of stand lamps, one size sewing lamp, one size footed lamp, one size flat hand lamp, and one size night lamp. The night lamp featured above measures 5.25 inches from its base to the top of the collar. This is a typical size for miniature table lamps.
The burner was produced by Plume & Atwood Manufacturing Company. The company was known for producing several types of lamp brass trimmings (i.e., fonts and burners). The lamp burner featured on this oil lamp is called their 'ACORN' style burner. This type of burner was only produced for night lamps. The company was founded in 1869.
The small, clear glass chimney has a small flea bite on the base of the glass. The chimney fits snugly into the brass burner. The cotton wick is also intact.
The item is clean and considered 'display' ready.
