Aston Estate Jewelry Presents:
A fine and rare three chime minute repeater pocket watch. Playing the Carillon chime on three gongs using three hammers, this spectacular timepiece offers a unique twist on the traditional dual note repeater. The pocket watch is signed by Swiss retailer Oscar Fresard; who went on to form a partnership with Vacheron & Constantin later in the 1920's. Fresard utilized a LeCoultre ebauche movement in this pocket watch, which he then up-fitted with this unique carillon chiming mechanism.
This Edwardian timepiece is a testament to the fine craftsmanship of both firms; featuring a single sunk white enamel dial with red five minute markers and blued steel hands. Encased in luxurious 18k gold, the watch boasts a substantial total weight of 124.3 grams.
The watch measures 54.0mm in width and 77.0mm in height, offering a commanding presence. The intricate design and high-quality materials reflect the sophistication of this bygone era.
This piece is in excellent condition, showcasing the enduring beauty and precision of Swiss watchmaking. The movement has been serviced by our in house master watchmaker, and the repeater plays with a beautiful strong clear chime.
