This listing is for the plastic thumb stud shown by arrows in the pictures.
The insert shown in the pictures is textured and sloped to help your thumb grab the knife blade easier for blade opening. This Leatherman mod allows for one hand open, and we really like it! Also called a thumb bar, thumb tab, or blade grip. Comes with enough for each blade, and one extra, just in case! We are expanding our color options, and if you got a request, please let me know. This design has crush ribs to make this a very tight and strong fit using the existing hole on the blade!
Installation is simple, just line up the plastic grip with the blade hole, and push it in there! Requires a decent amount of force to set the crush ribs, so you may want to open the blade and push it against a table.

Leatherman manufacturing tolerances are good, but sometimes the blade hole is cut different than normal. If so, feel free to use a dab of super glue to keep it snug, but you can tell if you need it during installation. We have tested this design on many blades, but obviously not yours!
