It's a nubby fabric in a natural off-white color. It has a somewhat rough texture but it has a soft gentle drape. Silk Noil dyes well - I love to use it for plant dyeing!
It is lovely material for blouses, tops, dresses, accessories as it is outstandingly comfortable.

Silk Noil is a rough, ivory silk from China that is very popular for embroidery, furnishings and clothing as it is very easy to handle and does not crease easily.
Silk Noil is made from the short fibres from the cocoon rather than a continuous length of silk so it has a rough texture but soft drape.
Gentle hand wash or silk programme machine wash is recommended. The best way is to just dip it in a cold bucket of water with a capful of gentle soap, let it sit for 30 mins , and then rinse it out in fresh water. Air dry and steam ironing gives it a perfect finish.
