This is not a physical item, but a 3D STL file to print using a 3D printer. This project is perfect for those who want to learn how to print molds directly and cast them in flexible materials like platinum silicone and urethane rubbers.
HOW TO USE THESE STL FILES
Pick your choice. You can either print the solid version STL files, or the two part moulds and cast them in silicone or urethane rubber.
Use a resin printer preferably for the upper halves or the moulds or the solid versions. Post process by priming and painting black, then using a thin layer of 2K clear coat. This will prevent inhibition for silicone castings.
I will post a full silicone/urethane course on my website with a full detailed explanation on how to create and cast pieces like these. I will also show you how to paint silicone with Alumaluster.
But basically, seal the edges of the moulds with monsterclay or hot glue, then inject silicone using the hole on the bottom. Some pieces come with escape vents for the air bubbles. You can also skip the injection technique and brush silicone direclty on the moulds or slush cast.
