Since the necklace was wire wrapped, there is no worry that these beads will eventually come apart unlike single loop necklaces which can come a part.

Authentic hand made Byzantine Mosaic Murano glass cross pendant was imported from Rome. It is made of spun enamel glass and silvered metal. The Byzantine Mosaic (micro mosaic) is an artisan technique used since the 2nd half of the XVIII century. This technique consists of filing various kinds of settings with spun enamel glass tessere (Murano glass).

The Byzantine cross pendant measures approximately 7/8 inches in length and 5/8 inches in width. The necklace is 18 inches long. The necklace chain is comprised of gold-filled jump rings, Swarovski crystals - 4 MM and faceted rondelle Ruby Gemstones - 4 MM beads.
