Our habotai silk fabric is made of 100% mulberry silk and it’s woven in a silk traditional village in Vietnam where has a long history of more than one thousand years in silk production.
The thickness of our hobotai fabric is 10 momme. The width of our silk fabric is 34.6 inches or 88 cm.
When you touch it, you will feel it very light, soft, because it’s real silk. However, it's not as thick and slippery as satin silk because the weaving is different.
★How do you know if it’s real silk? The best way is to burn it and if it has a smell like you burn your hair, and when you touch the ash, it is broken into powder, then it’s real silk.
★Our silk fabric is good to use for making clothes, masks, pillowcases, sleeping bags, sleeping dresses, kimonos/robes, jewelry bags, painting, art work, etc. We use these habotai silk fabric to make products for our shop.
