All wood is 1 1/4 inches thick. Cross pieces on the end are 4.5 inches wide and the rails are 5.5 inches wide. ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. The cross pieces need to be secure to the 60 inch post using 2 inch screws, 3 in each end. All holes in the cross pieces are pre-drilled and plugs are included for screw holes. The ladder is 14 inches wide and has been assembled using 2 inch screws and lag bolts. The front safety rail has been attached to the top rail. The 5.5 inch rails are secured with 4 inch x 5/16 lag bolts, two in each end. A back safety rail is included. 20 yellow pine slats included, each tested to 185 lbs, see picture.
