This listing is here to let you know that I will make custom leather gun cases/sheaths for long guns. If you are looking for a case for a rifle, shotgun or muzzleloader that is in keeping with the styles of what you see in the pictures on this listing then I would be happy to make a custom case for you.
What you see in the listing photographs are Bison, elk, cowhide or cowhide/deerskin custom gun cases, with my customary Native American flair. The cases are lined with either acrylic sheepskin or fleece (which does not affect the metal in the gun) and usually just have a flap that secures to hold the gun in the case. These would still be considered a soft case and will keep the gun clean and stylish while transporting.
These cases will be made to the specifications that you send me. You can choose leather colors that I have in stock or I am happy to purchase leather for your special case. You can also choose the fleece or give me an idea of color for the lining. They are all hand sewn. No machine here! So the stitching will be tight and strong.
Cases can be customized with branding/burning that personalizes the case and different closures can be used. Handles can be added as well.
The base price to have a custom case made will BEGIN at $475.00. The size of your gun, the leather chosen, the personalization, the closure, and the lining all go in to determining the price. The base price will include everything I have mentioned but if you pick out more expensive materials then there will be additional charges......that is why I say they will begin at this base price. You will know the final price before you commit to the purchase though....I don't like surprises and there are no hidden costs here. There are no refunds on custom orders so I want to make sure that everything is perfect. Perfection requires a lot of questions too.....I like knowing the details so keep that in mind.
On the cost - from high to low - Bison, elk, deerskin, cowhide.....although some cowhides are more expensive. The average cost for gun cases tend to be around $650.00.
Custom orders take about 4-6 weeks depending on my order schedule and the availability of the leather that you choose. That is usually the longest length of time it would take if we need to order leather.
