This is an antique doll from Germany.
The doll has dark hair, blue eyes and rosy cheeks.
It was found in the estate of a Wisconsin homestead.
It has a porcelain head and stuffed body. The body appears to be made out of knitted fabric with the arms, hands, legs, shoes being made out of old sturdy muslin type fabric and handstitched. The handstitched little shoes have detail with lace up type shoes. The hands have stitched fingers.
I'm guessing it is a sawdust filled doll but not sure. The body is hard and solid. For its age, it is in very good condition.
The dress is so very pretty, lacy, fine detail and in marvelous condition.
The German doll measures approximately 16" in length.
