The Game Boy Macro is the name for a customized Nintendo DS Lite - made by removing the top screen and performing some soldering magic* to the motherboard to get it to play GBA games. *not actual magic 🧙‍♂️ The result is a GBA with a much much better LCD display!!! Vastly superior even to the backlit GBA SP. It works EXACTLY the same as a GBA and plays all GBA games! The only difference is that it won't play original Gameboy games, just Gameboy Advance games. In my opinion this is the BEST way to play GBA games! These Gameboy Macro's have 2-colour light-bars which light-up when the Macro is turned on. The Macro's have slightly different designs of light-bar (bubble/spiral etc) so please see the pictures for details. These Game Boy Macros has speakers fitted and so plays sound ♫ and also have rechargeable batteries. They are region unlocked and so can play US or Japanese GBA games as well as European ones. The touch-screen functionality has been removed because it is not required for GBA games and makes the screen clearer. These Game Boy Macros are made from used Nintendo DS's and so may have the usual wear and tear of a used handheld, however I only use DS Lite's in decent condition to make Macros.
