Rua Red balm can also be used as a hair mask without heat for gradual red-toned highlights; apply and leave on for 1 to several hours before washing hair. Herbal highlights are added gradually with each use. The highlights become more noticeable with each use. The natural red-toned shade is custom to the color of the hair treated, and the frequency of applications. Great for a gradual cover of sparse whites or grays by blending them in naturally. It can be used as a highlighting styling gel; for taming fly-aways & frizz, and for slicked back styles. Also for men - use as an alternative to hair dye, and/or as a highlighting beard balm. Rua Red is coconut oil based & packed with hair-healthy highlighting botanicals including Hibiscus Flower, Alkanet Root, Beet, Clove, Flax, Rosemary, and Cinnamon, and essential oils. It contains a small amount of Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide, which is the best grade of naturally occurring hydrogen peroxide available (it is h2o2, like water/h2o, but with an extra oxygen molecule). Food grade hydrogen peroxide is commonly used in health spas, and is often sold in health food stores in a 3% solution. This product contains less than a 1% solution. Rua Red highlighting balm has a subtle, earthy, spiced scent from the herbs & essential oils. Synthetic fragrance free.
