You will receive 1 plant/ peudo-rhizome bulbs, have at least 1 stem from this year's growth, in moistened soil, secured in a plastic bag. Current year root is about 1/4 and will enlarge with time. Plant 3-4 per spot to get a fuller effect, or spread them out every 12-18 inches so they have room to spread. The bulb may or not be attached to the previous year bulb (mother bulb).
Plants / rhizomes may very in sizes and stages of growth. Rhizomes have current year stems. Guarantee to grow. May not flower the first year due to transplanting shock. They will do well once established.

The plants are grown in zone 10a so many have finished blooming. If you're in colder climates with soil less than 45’F, plant rhizomes in pots indoors until ground is warm for transplanting in the Spring when ground has warmed up and frost has past. Mulch heavy in the winter if you are planning to leave in the ground. But I suggest to put them into pots until next Spring.
Dig a 4 inch deep hole and bury them into the ground as soon as you received them.
With some care, every year, they will keep multiplying via rhizomes and fill-in section of the garden. Once established, they are virtually maintenance free!
They are very hardy and easy to care for orchids that I have ever known - low to no maintenance once established! They prefer shade to partial shade, even in clay ish soil. They do ok in full sun but required more watering. The leaves may bleach out with too much sun. Grows in zone 5-9 but should mulch heavy in cold zone 5-7 to prevent freezing.
This plant can be planted indoors but it's been grown outdoors in southern CA zone 10a.
