**HOW MANY LOCS SHOULD I GET?**
If extending current locs, it is suggested to count the number of locs you have and order 10-20 more than that number as a cushion.
If you are starting with a fresh, full-head install, the following is suggested for size but your hair density is the determining factor:
1mm only = 500-600 locs
1-2mm mix= 400-500 locs
2mm only = 350 - 400 locs
2-3mm mix = 300 locs
3mm only = 230-280 loc
The texture of these locs best matches curl patterns 3C, 4A, 4B, and 4C.
**HIGH vs. LOW OMBRE**
High Ombre = Roots are dark but the majority of the loc is the chosen color. For example, a 10" high ombre 1b/27 loc would have 3-4 inches of darker color (1B) followed by 6-7 inches of lighter color (27).
Low Ombre = Majority of the hair is a darker tone with the tip lighten to the chosen color. For example, a 10" low ombre 1b/27 loc would have 6-7 inches of darker color (1b) followed by 3-4 inches of lighter color (27).
**COLOR DETAILS**
Natural Color Ombres (blondes and auburn) are processed with permanent high pigment professional dye
Vivid colors (red, pink, blue, green, purple, orange, etc) are processed with a high pigmented, vegan dye with keratin protein. The color will last approximately 40 washes using sulfate-free shampoos. It is safe to reapply color to the vivids because the base is platinum blonde. Do not attempt to bleach a vivid color loc (or any bleach blonde loc) to remove color as this will result in overprocessing and will weaken or break the loc.
If you choose to no longer want the vivid color, it can be removed with a color remover (not bleach/lightener) such as L'Oreal Effasol Color Remover.
**HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP**
SolarLocs Extensions™ are custom-made for you with each order and are not mass-produced or dropshipped. Therefore, please allow 3-4 weeks for processing and shipping.
