This French pottery confit container from the South West region of France dates from the end of the 19th century, the late 1800s to the beginning of the 1900s.
This pot were originally used to preserve duck au gras throughout southwestern France.
It is rare to find it in such beautiful vintage condition and this small size (5.4 inches in height).
Today, this magnificent old pot can be used as a utensil holder in a kitchen with country decor, as a vase to hold a bouquet of dried flowers or quite simply as a unique decorative object (because it is handmade) full of history.
