Available in two distinct options:
• PANES: NO LIGHTING. These are Himalayan Salt tiles fitted seamlessly together and framed in solid hardwoods. This style can be hung on a wall, in a window or can sit on a sill to capture natural light. Some customers add their own lighting behind these panes or prip them up.
• PANELS: BACK LIT. For a complete pre-lit solution, we have our panel line. The panels use the same salt tiles but have a deeper frame and are fitted with our Architectural Grade, fully dimmable LED lights. Remote controller included.
While absolutely beautiful all alone, hung in groups they make a powerful statement and healthy addition to any room or space. Hanging one of our panes, (an unlit one) in the window where direct sunlight can hit it or placing it in front of a light source, will allow the salt to produce negative ions! Our panels (the pre-lit style) also produce negative ions as well. These ions will bind on a molecular level with positive ions and cancel them out! Positive ions are associated with high electrical charged environments like indoor air in homes, schools, offices and other commercial locations. These are created from electronics, heating, air conditioning and stale, trapped air. Negative ions are associated with active nature like the great outdoors, water rushing over rocks, waves crashing to the shore, wind rustling through trees and grass, rainstorms, lighting, etc. Mom always said, go out and play in the fresh air! Mom always knows best!!
Our "off the shelf" semi-custom options are as follows:
1. PANES: UNLIT. Sizes include 12"X24", 12"x24"; 24"X24" and 24"X48". On the oblong sizes we offer either HORIZONTAL or VERTICAL salt layouts. You can place on a windowsill, hang in front of a light source or add your own lighting. Frames are 1.5" deep solid oak or ash. No hanging hardware included due to the many different ways a customer can hang. Please start a convo for ideas.
2. PANELS: PRE-LIT. These are 4” deep frames that form a light box and have the lighting built in. Standard style is plug and play (plug-in cord). Plugs in to any outlet. Fully dimmable. Sizes as with #1. Ask us about our hardwired options for lighting. Hardwired uses the wiring in your wall the same way that a wall sconce does. Hanging hardware is included and pre-installed based on aspect choice.
All standard wood frames are made with solid ash. Please see last picture for layout and hanging options for the 12"x24", 12"X48" and 24"X48" models. Your layout selection is in the second drop down menu. We quote these sizes in "nominal terms", meaning these are the size classes. Once we sand the tiles and fit them to the size ordered, the framing adds another 1.5" to each dimension. So we sand the tiles so that your outside dimensions are what is purchased. If you need your panel to be a specific size, please start a convo before ordering. This becomes important if the panels are to be installed into a specific space or opening.
We have many custom options available as well that include frame wood type, custom stained finishes, frameless sizes with features for creating walls, lighting options, electrical options, remote controls and so much more. We won't use a wiod that can compromise the overall integrity of the finished piece, stains or paints that can emit VOCs after curing ir lighting that requires extensive bulb change outs. IMPORTANT: Upon receipt of your order, we will reach out to you via email through the Etsy platform to discuss your wiring preference and remote controller option. At this point, we can also discuss any custom feature add-ons you may want. Any add-ons will have a link describing the options along with price. This is how you will pay for your custom features.
SHIPPING IS NOW INCLUDED AND WE USED ESTIMATES. DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THESE PANELS, WE DO NEED TO CHARGE A SURCHARGE TO HAWAII AND ALASKA. PLEASE EMAIL US IN ADVANCE TO LEARN MORE (IF THIS APPLIES TO YOU). WE USE FEDEX UNLESS YOU ARE ORDERING MORE THAN TWO, IN WHICH CASE WE USE A FREIGHT COMPANY. We recently shipped to UAE, Ireland, UK and S. America and shipping was only slightly higher. Each country has its own laws, tariffs, regulations and fees, so please start a convo to request shipping quotes. All our shipping terms are FOB, meaning once the shipment leaves us, it will become your responsibility. IF THERE IS VISIBLE DAMAGE TO THE OUTER BOX IT IS WISE TO TAKE PICTURES BEFORE ACCEPTING THE SHIPMENT AND OPENING THE BOX. All shipments are insured and it has been extremely rare that damage has occurred as the boxes are well insulated and custom made to each pane or panel.
