Front license plate bracket for 1987 - 1993 Ford Foxbody Mustang GT. NO DRILLING (*Please see note below) is required to mount this bracket. This bracket is designed to fit in the two factory holes that come pre-drilled in the lower air dam below the front bumper.
I live in an area that by law, requires a front license plate be mounted and displayed on the front of all vehicles. I did not like the OEM Ford front plate bracket for 2 reasons:
1. It is very bulky and takes away from the aesthetics of the front of the car
2. In order to mount the OEM bracket, holes need to be drilled in the front of the bumper
For these reasons, I designed a bracket that is very low profile, requires no drilling, places the front license plate the perfect distance away from the painted surface of the bumper, and gives the plate a "Floating look" as if the license plate is not mounted to anything at all.
With the licence plate removed, the bracket is almost unnoticeable, however the bracket is also very quick and easy to remove completely for car shows and the like, and is just as easy to reinstall for the ride home.
