Apple CarPlay for BMW (F and G Series) equipped with NBT EVO ID5/ID6 system (cars manufactured after 07/2016). See in the pictures below how EVO ID5 and ID6 looks like. Both ID5 and ID6 have EVO Maps.
Check your Maps and Firmware Version: Go to Navigation -> Press Options Button -> Go to Settings -> Go to Position & Version History -> Check Version
If you have EVO Maps you have Evo unit.
CarPlay activation on Evo units is possible even if the car has a wifi antenna or not, but the lack of an antenna will make it impossible to connect. If necessary to install the antenna, this is a simple process and you have to do it by yourself. We do not sell the wifi antenna.
We will tell you if unit has wifi antenna after you tell us VIN of the car.
ACTIVATION VIA USB:
For firmware versions NBTevo_H, I, J, K, L, M, N and O you can activate Carplay by USB:
The process is very simple: we will send a file via email and instructions. Put the file on a usb flash drive and insert it into the USB port in your vehicle armrest. Your Navigation unit will reboot and CarPlay will be activated.
ACTIVATION VIA ENET CABLE:
For firmware versions NBTevo_P, Q, R, S, U, V, W, X, Y.... activation is possible only via Enet cable
You will need:
-ENET cable (is not included and we dont sell it)
-Windows 10 or 11 laptop with firewall OFF and Antivirus OFF
-Strong and stabile internet connection
Process takes 5 minutes. You only have to run our Feature Installer.
CarPlay FULL-SCREEN vs SPLIT-SCREEN
Full-screen is possible only starting from firmware version N (NBTevo_N, O, P, Q, R, S, U, V, W, X, Y....). For versions H, I, J, K, L and M only Split Screen is possible.
MAPS update
Delivery via email: - FSC Code, link to download the latest map available for your system and instructions.
