Sometimes a popular cutting machine program can have issues with some of my files. I don't know why it happens but I have always been able to get around it with the following steps. Please be aware that this is something you may have to do if you purchase one of my files, especially one that is custom handwriting conversion. I know the extra steps delay your making, but it only takes a few minutes and is worth it!
Part of my design disappears when I hit weld. What do I do?
Unfortunately, this is a common issue with one of the popular design/cutting programs. It most likely happened if you hit weld for the entire design at once. I have, however, found a work-around that generally works.
1. Ungroup the file as far as possible.
2. Delete any parts that have a red line through them (if
any.)
3. Select smaller pieces of the design to weld together
and then go back and weld your welded pieces
together. Keep welding in small pieces until you have
as much of the design done as you desire.
