Custom Order, This is an example of the floating, weathered mantel. This is made of pine and is artificially weathered to give that same look and feel as if it's been outside for a very long time. It was then stained to give the look that you desire in a weathered piece. Make no mistake, this is a hollow light piece that can be easily mounted, with the included mounting bracket. You do not see any end or side grain that is prevalent in many other floating mantles, giving the illusion of a solid beam. I can custom craft in any size you wish in a variety of materials and finishes, such as Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Pine, Oak, Quarter sawn Sycamore, Ambrosia Maple, Ash, Cedar. All of my products are made by my hand, from the start of getting the logs, to writing this. I try to expose and show off the natural beauty that comes from within each log. Not knowing exactly what each log holds, my job then becomes utilizing the elegance of the material with functionality of design to obtain a workable, functional piece of art. Of course, each piece's "peak" is restricted by the quality of materials obtained. My job becomes paring like quality materials, while amplifying each pieces unique characteristics to their greatest potential to obtain a working piece that maximizes material elegance with pure function.
