Perfect watering bell for indoor or outdoor plants! This watering bell was thrown from a speckled, stoneware clay body. Then it was lightly spray glazed with a white glaze and fired in my wood kiln. I love the bell-shaped profile of this little pot and the way the white glaze contrasts with the fly ash highlights from the wood firing. Watering bells are simple to use just watch the video as my son demonstrates- simply submerge pot in water to fill, while submerged cap the rim with your thumb, remove from water and release your thumb to gently water your plants.
This watering bell was fired in my wood fire kiln at temperatures surpassing 2300° F, for 40+ hours. The high temperature and sustained firing time can result in a natural ash glaze on the piece. Woodfired pieces are truly unique and have a story to tell.
