A stunning pair of antique French curtains! This set is just LOVELY ! ~*~ ~ ~ A very very rare design ~ this curtain set is French and dates from right around 1900 ~ ( I have another panel that found in the same house, that " match" to see these , simply search my store for the word " kilim" and it will appear, they are similar but not the same ! ) ~ these curtains use the most wonderful Kilim pattern! ~ Gorgeous reds and blues and neutral tones. The back is the reverse of the front, so they can hang wonderfully where both sides can be seen~ also, you can choose to have the side that is predominately blue showing or red ~ ( technically I believe the predominantly red side is the front, however! ) ~ these curtains are a super sturdy fabric, heavy weight and weighs about 4.5 pounds each. I believe the fiber content is both cotton and silk!~ ( primarily cotton) It's a very sturdy textile so can be used also for upholstery, multiple curtains, bedcover etc ~ just take a bit of creative hands to repurpose!~ gorgeous and rare beauties!!~ Ideal for many period interiors.
MEASUREMENTS: These panels measure approximately 135 inches by 51 inches wide each~
CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There is a hole on the left panel ( please use the zoom feature on the photographs to view it carefully ~ This can be patched using a red or blue fabric easily! ~ ( I may have a nice patching piece, if you require please remind me ! ~*~ ) ~ The fringe has some areas that are missing the bobbles!~ There are a few very very small ( less than pea sized holes ) ~ for it's age and use, it's in wonderful condition indeed! However, Not without light signs of time and use, but wonderful indeed! ~*~
