ABOUT CUT PATTERNS: They are extremely delicate. They tear easily and even silently. I do my best, but no warranty is implied if you fully handled/started working with it and it tears. If you think it arrived damaged, photograph it, contact me, and if we agree I'll refund you ONCE YOU RETURN IT. In general, you should trace any pattern older than 10-20 years rather than trying to work with those pieces. I do my very best in terms of pins but occasionally miss one. You've been warned.
In order to make my systems (more) foolproof, when dealing with cut patterns I now make a copy of the pattern piece chart and check pieces off against that, which I photograph and include with the pattern when it ships.
Because patterns are paper and I have no way of knowing how they were stored prior to acquiring them, I use an all natural clove based spray to prevent/repel silverfish and other insects that are attracted to paper. I also use cedar blocks in my drawers/bins for the same reason.
I have a non-smoking home with one dog who is not interested in sewing. I have no way of knowing what home environment a specific pattern has come from.
As of OCTOBER 01, 2021, USPS is slowing down first class mail, which is the only way to ship patterns economically. I ship within 24 hrs of your order and go to the Post Office every day. I have no control over how long USPS takes to get your purchase to you. I will not automatically refund you because the USPS bungled it. I especially won’t do this if you are rude to me, I’ll happily die on the hill of not rewarding bullying.
Honestly can’t believe I have to say this, but when you leave feedback about a pattern you purchased, you are not rating the pattern itself, you are rating the transaction. Feedback is based on: Was it shipped quickly? Was it packaged safely/attractively? Was the item exactly as described? “I am not sure I want to learn to sew after all so 3 stars” is not a legit use of feedback and it lowers my Star Seller stats. It goes without saying that if something isn’t right, please contact me–I deal with a high volume of patterns and everyone occasionally makes a mistake.
