Venus Flytraps are infamous for their ability to trap, kill, and consume insects. Inside each trap are small hairs that can sense pray. When the sensory hairs are brushed or touched it triggers the trap to close. It then emits secretions which dissolve the insect and completely breaks down the body for food.
Plant Care
Carnivorous plants enjoy direct sunlight for 6+ hours per day. They prefer to be bottom watered and can only be watered with distilled water or rain water. They prefer medium to high humidty and can receive this by placing them in a small dish or tray with water poured into it so the water line reaches 1/4th the height of the container. For soil, the only substrates that can be used to repot or pot up is peat moss and perlite and/or New Zealand Sphagnum Moss.
All of our carnivorous plants are grown from seed or tissue culture and have not been collected from the wild.
These plants will be shipped fully potted in a 2.5” pot. It will also be packaged in a specially crafted wrap. The wrap will ensure protection during the shipping process.

- All plants are shipped in nursery pots with soil with exception of unrooted and rooted cuttings which are shipped with sphagnum moss or wet toilette. Any decorative pots pictured in listing photos are sold separately.
- For basic plant care instructions, please see the item details found within each listing.
- Plants featured in our listing photos are not the same plants that will be received, unless this is explicitly noted in the listing. However, your plant will be very similar to the one pictured, with the same number of plants per pot.
- We only ship within the US and US territories.
- Plants should be tracked and brought indoors very quickly, especially during the winter and fall seasons. Please sign up for USPS tracking updates or have your package held at the post office for pickup.
- Plants do stress during transit. It is normal for a plant to be a bit dehydrated, have slight tears in foliage, and/or drop a few leaves while it acclimates to your home.
- Please double check your address before checkout. We are not responsible for packages shipping to the wrong address.
