We are pleased to offer for your consideration absolutely beautiful Gorgeous Antique Heinrich Handwerck Simon Halbig German Doll, 24", mold 4 from early 1900's, 24" She is an absolutely charming example of the Heinrich Handwerck Simon & Halbig bisque doll with composition body. Standing at approximately 24” tall. ~Features: ~ Bisque socket head ~ Open mouth with four top square moulded teeth ~outlined lips with full lip color ~ Sleep brown glass with red dots in internal corners ~Painted feathered brows ~Real hair upper eyelashes and painted lower eyelashes ~Light coral dots at nostrils ~Nicely formed pierced ears (the earrings are gone) ~Rosy/peach cheeks ~Dimple in chin ~ Blond wig ~Fully articulated ball-jointed composition ORIGINAL body with movement at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees ~ Marked on the back of the head with an incised : GERMANY HEINRICH HANDWERCK SIMON & HALBIG as well as with number 4 at the back lower portion the neck and letter W at the top of her forehead, at the dome opening. Her Original body has partially gone HEINRICH HANDWERCK red stamp and original round red sticker, reads: THE WHITE HOUSE TOY SAND FRANCISCO ( (appropriate to the very early 1900s) . The word “Germany” is incised under the wig and the neck is marked with a mold number. Simon and Halbig made this head using the design specified by Heinrich Handwerck. The letter W on her forehead likely means the first letter of Waltershausen area of Thuringia, Germany, where the company was located. She is wearing obviously appropriate antique natural linen dress, and white cotton skirt and pantaloons decorated with crocheted white lace trim, may be replacement... Measurements approximately: 24" tall, 12" - circumference of her head Condition report: Her bisque head is free of any cracks, hairlines or restorations, glass eyes are not cloudy, her upper hair eyelashes are partially gone, the pate is glued, her original body does show some age soiling and scratching, some very minor points of clipped off paint, one finger on the left hand has different color and probably was repaired. The dress shows some soiling and darkening commensurable to the age, threes tear on the pantaloon... No return, the sale is final.
