A delicately decorated handmade small posy vase which has a white background and is encircled by rainbow coloured flowers dancing across the surface. The gentle charm of the silhouette and vibrant colour palette blends modern style with the timeless beauty of nature. This perfectly proportioned small vase is ideal small garden flowers or delicate floral arrangements.
The design is inspired by my own garden on a summers evening, comes to life through the meticulous slip and sgraffito technique used. The stems of the colourful flowers are etched through the white slip and into the clay.
Whether as a gift to yourself or a thoughtful present for a loved one, this small vase serves as a cherished reminder of the beauty found within nature's embrace. It will adds a touch of contemporary sophistication to any space, making it an fabulous addition to both classic and modern interiors.
The current vases are hand thrown with an of white specked stoneware clay on my potter’s wheel in my garden studio in Kent, UK. A wire is used to remove the vase from the wheel, and the lines of this can still be seen on the underneath of the vase. The clay is fired with a transparent glaze inside and out so that it is watertight. My maker’s mark is stamped onto the base.

• I make each vase myself so please expect some variation in shape, size, capacity and decoration between each item – each one is unique. I am always happy to send you photos or exact dimensions of current stock.
• All items are packaged in a special cardboard box. They are then placed in a further box with compostable chips for transit. Occasionally I use other packaging in order to reuse it and avoid sending it to landfill.
