PRINT INFORMATION:
SIZE:
All prints are offered in 8X10 (inches) and some prints are offered in 5X7. Because each piece is filled with so many tiny, intricate details, many of these details get lost in the 5X7 variation. If too much affect is lost at the 5X7 size, I offer the piece in 8X10 only.
POSTCARD PRINTS:
Select best selling prints are offered as a postcard print. Postcard prints differ from fine art prints. They are a smooth matte texture (others are watercolor textured) and do not come in an embellished variation. My fine art prints are intended as decor-to hang on a wall or put on a shelf, frame etc. Postcard prints are intended to be more of a novelty item because of their tiny size. I offer a set of postcard prints that includes 14 of my prints.
FINISH:
PAPER: 8X10 and 5X7 prints are printed on thick, fine art cold press paper with a subtle watercolor texture. Looks/feels like a high quality piece of watercolor paper.
EMBELLISHED: the artist adds elements to the print that were in the original piece. This can include stickers, glitter/metallic watercolor paint, resin sprinkles, loose glitter and more. An embellished print is the best representation of the original piece and is intended to look as close to the original as possible. An 8X10 embellished print is closest appearing to the original piece.
EMBELLISHMENT COST:
Cost will vary from an additional $3-$5. The cost depends on the amount of embellishments needed, the supplies and the intricacies (time).
MATTE: the matte variation is the print in its original form after professional printing. No elements from the original piece are added to a matte print. This is personal preference but the matte variation will not have the texture and color effects that an embellishment variation or original would.
PRINT CARE:
Care: (embellished) when received, please be careful taking the print out of its plastic pouch. Keep pouch opened with your hand while pulling the print out so it does not rub against the plastic. With the nature of materials, it could shed a little bit of glitter (don’t worry, there is plenty on the piece).
**Highly suggested the customer mattes and/or frames their print to ensure the print stays safe from its environment and flat. (A matte board can be purchased from craft stores for less than $5).
Suggested to frame/matte your piece sooner rather than later to ensure embellishments stay as is. All embellishments are done using a standard glue stick to ensure that the paper is not damaged by the glue. This means embellishments could fall off if the piece is handled roughly or touched. Suggest having a frame or matte ready for use once you receive your print.
During the professional printing process and during the embellishment process (with watercolor additions), the paper can sometimes becomes curled. All prints are pressed by the artist beforehand and packaged in cardboard to ensure that they stay flat. If your print still has this effect, you can press in a heavy book for a couple of days before framing/matting, however the frame or matte will keep the print flat.
**Not suggested to leave print (as is, no framing/matte) leaned against something like a wall or shelf as this could make warping worse. Do not use tape/double stick tape or thumbtacks to hang print as this would most likely damage the paper.
