Smart Auto mode with Scene Recognition technology makes it easy to capture great photos in any situation by intelligently analyzing the scene and selecting the optimal settings from 22 options. Intelligent Contrast Correction (i-Contrast) maximizes the range of brightness gradations in every photo, bringing out detail in dark areas of the image and preventing washout in brighter areas. This tool can also be used to correct photos in playback mode. The new Smart Flash Exposure function adjusts the flash output depending on the conditions, whether it's a backlit scene or a macro shot.
Motion detection technology prevents blurring by monitoring camera shake, brightness and moving objects, then setting the optimal shutter speed and ISO sensitivity. Servo AF, which includes Servo AE, continuously adjusts focus and exposure based on the movement of subjects so that you get a good shot when you press the shutter button.
Advanced face detection technology detects up to 35 faces in every frame, ensuring proper focus and exposure in portraits and group photos.
