It's no surprise that our Sonoran Sunrise Bomber design is wildly popular after being inspired by classic country western fashion, 70s ski wear, and the endless charm of the Arizona desert. After years of perfecting our soft and delicate satin jackets, we decided to step up our fabric game to create a bomber that is suitable for the outdoors and will last a lifetime. This sturdy, water resistant nylon blend is durable yet still soft, cozy, and easy to style with just about anything (whether you are a man or woman). It’s bold and timeless, and our most complex design yet.
The main body color is a warm matte brownish black, which looks like a black jacket that has been well loved and sun-faded. The stripes are rust, maroon, and soft 70s banana cream yellow. We took special care of all the details, from the rust lining to the gold 60s style metal YKK circle zipper. The fit of this jacket is inspired by some of our favorite 70s and 80s vintage bomber, motorcycle and hunting jackets. It will be slightly less cropped than our Rising Sun designs, and we are excited to have added three additional sizes — XS, 2X and 3X— so please check the measurements to determine your best fit.
We recommend measuring a jacket you own (laying flat) and comparing to our measurements. Because we ship worldwide and sizing is so variable among different brands and regions, we do not give you a size chart because they can often be misleading and inaccurate, so please use these measurements for best sizing. (But as a general rule, women tend to fit best whatever US women’s t-shirt size they wear, and men tend to have the best luck going up one size from whatever men’s tee size they wear.) If you seem to be in between sizes, pay closes attention to the armpit measurement, and size down if you are unsure, as this jacket is not meant to be oversized.
