This Gunne Sax Dress has always been a favorite. It is a field of blue strewn with water color florals with just the slightest hint of tan and a cream within the mix up of an unobtrusive paisley. The familiar, delicate, cream colored sleeves are there ending in the blue patterned cotton blend with zippers.
The bodice is more of the floral with a lace covering it that is elasticized Below is an approximate 6" panel that has the familiar tie corset at the waistline. From there layer upon layer of the floral fabric comprises the skirt that also sports an attached, lace apron. There is a cream-colored liner. It is tagged as a Size 9 and the measurements seem to coincide. I chose 36" as the bust measurement due to the elastic bodice which is in excellent. It looks as though the dress has been raised expertly through the second panel of the skirt with double seams by 2" since most of these dresses are 58." This is a great example of Jessica's refined style that began in the early and middle 70s with a sweep of almost 300".
