Plant is drought resistant. Can handle full sun, and cold down to 32F, but cannot
handle extended freezing. Water when soil is completely dry in spring and summer, and
less in winter.
This plant originated in Brazil and Argentina
This plant will do well in pot or in the ground. Over time it will develop into bush like plant.
It does not really spread out, it grows more vertically so in a container will look good.
This is a fairly common Opuntia, but you do not see it at the nurseries. Really quite attractive coloring.
