Directions
Metal must be clean and free of lacquer, oil, grease or wax. To apply, polish solution onto your piece with a soft cloth then polish dry. The solution will initially plate pewter in color. Additional coats produce a brighter finish. After cleaning and polishing, silverware should be washed thoroughly with warm water.
For best results, apply the Jax Silver Plating Solution with a soft cloth, "rubbing in" the solution on your piece for at least a minute. Multiple application will give better results.
Tips: Silver Plating Solution seems to work best on smooth surfaces and it doesn't work well when you just brush it on or soak your piece in it. It's best to put some polish on a soft cloth and rub it in to the metal with the polish soaked part. Before plating it's great to practice on a penny. Clean a penny as directed, and then silver plate the penny as noted above, and you’ll know if you’re doing it correctly before you plate your piece.
