Thor lightsaber. READ FULL DESCRIPTION!!! ---- These files are for personal use only. You cannot sell the files, prints or any of it in any shape or form. I will personally start selling printed kits soon. This is one of my most cherished projects to date. I imagined what a lightsaber worthy of Thor would be like, starting from early concept arts to a fully polished printable model. So this is my own design. It took me several months to get it perfect, and I am so proud of it! It even has its own lore :D Do you want some inspiration to paint this prop? Not a physical product. These are very professional files, engineered to make you have a great journey and experience. Follow these instructions to print and finish your Thor lightsaber (see the one I finished on my instagram or Arstation (www.artstation.com/henryituarte): 0. Print, sand and paint each piece separately. The files are already oriented for optimal printing with minimum supports! I have even included new files! Custom masking tools and a Stand so for the big cylindrical pieces so you don't have to touch them when painting and they can rest on the table, and also a tool for the dremel or drill to help you achieve the brushed machined steel effect! Send me a message for further explanation. 1. Get a 8 mm in diaemter by 37 cm long round rod or similar. There is an equivalent in inches (a tiny bit thinner but works) 2. Assemble the bottom frame with the mesh. The mesh inserts through the bottom. 3. Insert the rod into the pommel, then slide the bottom frame. All the pieces fit only in one position, so it’s very easy to assemble the rest, stacking them up in order. 4. For the leather parts of the handle, either trace and cut leather pieces, or use the extisting STLs with the texture you like best. If you are going to use real leather, print the non-textured blank pieces. Slide what ever pieces you printed, then first glue the bottom one. Then use the spacer to glue the next ones at the right height. 5. Insert the button box in the hole of the top of the handle. 6. Place the emitter guard pieces, bottom then top, and assemble the emitter before glueing it in place. Use the existing keys to place all the pieces in the right orientation. 7. Give one last layer of weathering to the whole saber. 8. Lastly, attatch a really cool leather strap to the pommel through the hole. Stay tuned for designs on that! 9. Done! I even 3D modeled a custom masking tool for the emitter, in case you want to paint it with different colours. I will definitely experiment with a few! I also modeled printable templates in case you want to use real fabric or leather! Note: Etsy wouldn't allow me to upload more than 5 zips of 20MB each, so the last two types of leather texture were left out.
