We have taken bourbon barrel staves and have given them “Life After Bourbon” which so happens to be our business name too!! Wright’s Wood Crafts - Life After Bourbon.
This is a bourbon barrel stave that measures about 35-36 inches long. Some will have the bung some will not. The width will vary on each one but will be in the range of 3-4 inches. The staves spent the first part of their life aging some fantastic bourbon so there might be some slight imperfections on them. Hairline surface cracks or dings. But they are structurally ready to be repurposed. All staves will have a bung. The bung is made from poplar wood and the stave is made from White oak so the stain might absorb differently to each causing a slight difference in color. We have cleaned them up, stained them, and added a coat of sealer. Also have hangers included so you can hang them once received.
The metal on each end is actually cut from a bourbon barrel band. Gives it even more bourbon flair.
