This handcrafted wooden art map of Outer Banks, North Carolina is an absolute masterpiece. Measurements starting at 16 inches in height and 10 inches in width, this piece is an excellent statement piece for any home or office. Maps are all made using true 1/4" cabinet grade wood. Most maps you see from other creators are made from 1/8" hobby wood (baltic birch). They are less than 1/2 the thickness and weight of our maps and you can see and feel the difference. Now you know why most are slightly less expensive. Because the wood on theirs is extremely thin and inexpensive. I try to keep our map prices competitive even with the lesser quality ones, but this is why sometimes we're a little more. Maps will vary in their width, depending on the area being mapped and the desired map results. Maps are priced on their longest side. A 24" map may be 24" tall or wide. All pricing includes framing and multi level water. Timing of maps being completed depends on the area of the map. Some areas we already have great plans for, so the build can start immediately. In these situations, maps are usually ready for shipment within three weeks. Maps that we need to make plans for usually take an additional week. These are genuine HOMEMADE maps.
