1962 Candy Land custom framed board game ready to be displayed and played!
š² Finished size = approximately 17" x 20"
š² All four playing pieces and cards (7 treat cards) included. Cards show age with wear and discoloration.
š² Board is in great condition. There is some color fading from years of play. Box is in good condition with minor repairs and sticker marks on the front.
š² PLEASE NOTE: Nearly all games in my Shop are 50 to over 100 years old and may smell like it. I carefully inspect all games before placing them in my Shop, using my senses. If there is a concern about the condition of the board (i.e. smell, marks, etc.), please message me prior to purchase and I will be happy to help answer any questions.

Candy Land was first released in 1949. Created by Eleanor Abbott, a teacher, who contracted polio in her 30s and spent time in a polio hospital surrounded by children who were isolated from their families. She created Candy Land as a way to help them pass the time.
I love the history of these vintage game boards and highlighting their beauty with these custom frames. I especially love that each framed game can be taken down and enjoyed.
All frames are custom made with 1x2 pine boards that have been miter cut and corners glued. Maple plywood is cut to fit the back and the entire frame is stained with dark walnut and then two coats of polyurethane (sanded in between) are applied to give each frame a beautiful finish. I add small bumpers to the back to protect walls and surfaces and a sawtooth hanger is also included.
Games contain small pieces and are not intended for children under the age of 4.
